Boat/Yacht Rental
Terms & Conditions - Cancellation Policy

1. RESERVATIONS, PAYMENTS, CANCELLATIONS & RENTAL/CHARTER POLICIES

1.1 Reservation & Payment

A reservation is confirmed only after I VENTURES CARIBBEAN LLC receives full payment or an approved deposit. Any remaining balance must be paid in full no later than twenty (20) calendar days before the scheduled charter date, unless otherwise agreed to in writing.

Failure to make the required payment by the due date may result in cancellation of the reservation without prior notice.

Check-In Requirements

At check-in, the Primary Charterer must present:

  • A valid government-issued photo ID.

  • The same credit card used to complete the reservation payment.

The name on the photo ID must match the name on the reservation and the credit card used for payment.

Failure to present the required documents may result in denial of boarding or service without refund.

Additional Documentation

Depending on the vessel, Captain, Crew, marina, insurance, or operational requirements, additional documents, waivers, or acknowledgements may be required prior to departure.

The Charterer agrees to complete and sign any required documentation before boarding. Failure to do so may result in denial of boarding without refund.

1.2 Cancellation Policy

The following cancellation policy applies to all reservations, whether secured with full payment or a deposit:

  • Cancellations received 20 or more calendar days before the scheduled charter date are eligible for a full refund of all amounts paid, less applicable credit card processing fees and service fees, which are non-refundable.

  • Cancellations received 19 calendar days or less before the scheduled charter date are non-refundable, with no exceptions.

  • At the sole discretion of I VENTURES CARIBBEAN LLC, the Charterer may be offered a future charter credit valid for twelve (12) months.

  • This cancellation policy applies regardless of the reason for cancellation, including, but not limited to, illness, travel delays, airline cancellations, weather affecting travel, or other personal circumstances.

  • The effective cancellation date shall be the date and time I VENTURES CARIBBEAN LLC receives the cancellation request by email or other approved written communication.

For reservations secured with a deposit, the remaining balance must be paid in full no later than twenty (20) calendar days before the scheduled charter date. Failure to do so may result in cancellation of the reservation.

1.3 Weather Policy

The safety of our guests, crew, and vessel is our highest priority

.

Only the Captain or I VENTURES CARIBBEAN LLC Operations Team has the authority to determine whether weather or sea conditions are safe for the charter to proceed. The Captain's decision is final.

Please note:

  • Rain alone is not grounds for cancellation.

  • Weather decisions are based on marine conditions, including wind, waves, visibility, currents, tides, and any other factors affecting the safe operation of the vessel.

  • Routes, destinations, departure times, and itineraries may be modified at any time for safety.

If the charter is cancelled before departure due to unsafe weather or sea conditions, the Charterer may choose to:

  • Reschedule the charter at no additional charge;

  • Receive a charter credit valid for twelve (12) months; or

  • Receive a full refund of the charter payment, less applicable credit card processing fees and service fees, which are non-refundable.

1.4 Mechanical Issues, Operational Delays & Charter Inspection

While every effort is made to ensure all vessels operate as scheduled, unexpected mechanical issues or operational delays may occur.

If a mechanical issue prevents the charter from departing, I VENTURES CARIBBEAN LLC may, at its sole discretion:

  • Substitute the reserved vessel with a comparable or higher-category vessel;

  • Reschedule the charter;

  • Issue a charter credit; or

  • Provide a full refund.

If a mechanical issue occurs after departure, every reasonable effort will be made to safely continue the charter or return passengers to the marina.

Minor operational delays do not qualify for refunds. If a delay exceeds three and one-half (3.5) hours, I VENTURES CARIBBEAN LLC may, at its sole discretion, provide a partial refund or charter credit.

1.5 Charter Inspection & Service Notification

Before departure, the Charterer is responsible for confirming that the vessel, equipment, amenities, and services included in the reservation have been provided.

Any missing equipment, service concern, maintenance issue, or other irregularity must be reported to the Captain or an I VENTURES CARIBBEAN LLC representative before departure or immediately upon discovery during the charter, allowing our team the opportunity to resolve the issue whenever reasonably possible.

Failure to report a concern during the charter or before returning to the marina constitutes acceptance that the vessel, equipment, and services were delivered in satisfactory condition.

Claims, complaints, or requests for partial refunds regarding issues that were not reported during the charter will not be considered.

1.6 Charter Credits

Unless otherwise stated:

  • Charter credits remain valid for twelve (12) months from the original charter date.

  • Credits may be transferred to another guest with prior written approval from I VENTURES CARIBBEAN LLC.

  • Expired credits have no cash value.

1.7 Rescheduling

Rescheduling requests are subject to the following terms:

  • Requests received 15 or more calendar days before the scheduled charter date may be processed without charge, subject to vessel availability.

  • Requests received 14 calendar days or less before departure are subject to a $150 administrative rescheduling fee, plus any applicable price difference.

1.8 No-Shows

Failure of the Charterer or any member of the party to arrive at the designated departure location by the scheduled check-in time will be considered a No-Show.

No-Shows are non-refundable, and the full charter amount will be forfeited.

1.9 Late Arrival

The Charterer is responsible for arriving on time.

Late arrival does not extend the scheduled charter duration.

Additional charter time may be provided only if:

  • The vessel schedule permits.

  • The Captain approves the request.

  • Applicable overtime charges are paid.

1.10 Passenger Safety & Right to Refuse Service

The Captain and I VENTURES CARIBBEAN LLC reserve the absolute right to refuse boarding or terminate a charter, with or without refund, whenever a passenger's conduct creates a safety concern.

Examples include, but are not limited to:

  • Excessive intoxication

  • Illegal drug use

  • Aggressive, abusive, or threatening behavior

  • Medical conditions that prevent safe participation

  • Failure to follow Captain or crew instructions

  • Any conduct that jeopardizes the safety of passengers, crew, or the vessel

The Captain's decision regarding passenger safety and vessel operation is final.

Children must be always under the supervision of an adult in the charter party.

Customers are responsible for bringing infants and children recreational USCG approved life jackets. Rentals do include emergency life jackets for infants and children.
